A Comedy Self-help Podcast to Make Life Suck Less!

Welcome to Go Help Yourself: A Comedy Self-help Podcast to Make Life Suck Less! This podcast is the brainchild of Misty Stinnett and Lisa Linke, two actor-writer-comedians living in Los Angeles. Misty is on a quest for a greater perspective, while Lisa hates authority. So, they decided to read and review one self-help book per week and talk about what they loved, what they hated, and all the absurdities of life. Follow along as they highlight, dismantle, and belly laugh at all of the advice floating around the self-help landscape.

Lisa Linke Podcast Host

Lisa is an actor and writer living in Los Angeles, California. You've probably seen her on BLESS THIS MESS as Clara, the quiet talker of Bucksnort, Nebraska. If not, you might have caught a glimpse of her on THIS IS US, BLACK-ISH, GREY'S ANATOMY, TEACHERS, MODERN FAMILY, or SHAMELESS. Originally from Chicago, she loves NPR, only buys organic, and hates being told what to do. She is the kind of person who always asks customer service people how they are doing, picks up litter, and talks to and for her dog. She's high energy yet has been decaffeinated for 20 years. Learn more about Lisa at her very own website, because she's fancy.

Misty Stinnett Podcast Host

Misty is a writer and actor living in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Florida, Misty discovered a fierce love of self-help when she realized that fulfillment was still elusive even as she was checking off all the boxes she was told she needed to. She loves '90s rom-coms, slow-cooked meals, and is convinced she will one day make an excellent dog mom. She's the kind of person who will create a podcast in her spare time to "relax."
